(Dylan Allen, 2009-09-24) The item came in a timely matter. This DVD documentary is a must see for all urban individuals.
(K. Griffin, 2009-07-30) I've worked for various non-profit organizations with our youth for over 13 years. This is the best documentary I've seen thus far. The messages are very positive and very necessary for our young men to hear. We have used it this summer for some of our programming and definitely will be using this documentary when the school year starts.
(Len, 2009-07-15) This isn't as good as the first Jenks Morton work: What Black Men Think, however, its a nice follow up and good information for African American Males...
(Ronald Jackson, 2009-05-06) Get the video. The thing that caught my attention was the young man who said young men with fathers act all prissy. If you look at it through there eyes he is really telling the truth as he views it. Young men with fathers (Good Fathers) don't raise their children with a thug mentality, there children usually learn about manhood by modeling there father and not some knuckle head on the street. So the producer of this film was correct when he said "The man that he sees is the man he will be". So, in actuality the young boys on the street are fathered by the older thugs on the street. Which just mean we need men to step in the gap and model for this young men what a real man really is.
(George E. Jamieson, 2009-04-17) Groundbreaking is the key word of the day for this dynamic 44 mintue, gut level honest Film. I had the opportunity to be a part of this Project and realize that Janks Morton has reach out to our family structure to bring light on a problem that exist in our community. I want to thank Mr.Morton and his filming crew for their compasion and love to bring about a film that will bringTHE BEGINNING: Life Is the Source Of Many Beginnings light on a fatherless nation and bring about a sense of community and love once again.
