Margaret Cho: Beautiful $14.98
Learning to love her luscious self over the past forty years, comedian Margaret Cho realized that the eye of the beholder doesn't hold all the power when it comes to beauty. Our tastes may be groomed by the media, but how we feel about how we look brings our self-image into focus. Armed with something more potent than lip gloss -- a mouth so shocking and raunchy it should be stamped with a warning. Cho toured America with her manifesto: "This show is really about how we should feel…

(Abigail Brown, 2009-12-06) Love this special! She once again delivers 100% with the great combo of high brow and low brow humor that strikes a perfect balance of hysterical.
(Bruce Nichols, 2009-12-05) Margaret Cho has an abundance of energy and charisma. She also has a great ability to tell a joke with proper timing. It's a shame that she wastes these talents on telling crude sex jokes when she could be using her unique position in the world of comedy (as an Asian American woman) to deliver some messages with substance. Clever insights in American daily life, politics and feminism would catapult her career. The depth of her jokes in Beautiful is so shallow that I am led to believe that Margaret is simply out of ideas. She should hire some writers or have her fans send her some jokes. In Beautiful, she is doing the same old shtick telling jokes about her sexual experiences and bodily fluids (for example: menstruation). How long she can keep going with this bit before she disappears into the abyss will be seen. I think she still has time to turn her career around and I just hope she does.
(William J. Smith, 2009-11-23) She was funny on a few TV appearences. Like most wannabe actresses from CA, trying to make a political statement but fails to be funny. Maybe she needs to rethink her calling, either be a commedian, or a politician, or run for office. Seems those that are in office now are all a joke!
(B. Weeks, 2009-11-16) I saw this tour 3 times (the last night I saw her she was very sick, but still soldiered on and gave a great performance) and it is her funniest yet. Margaret might not be for everyone and that's perfectly fine. However condemning a comic for being "shrill" or "mean" is absolutely ludicrous. Margaret is a champion for human rights and she is only mean to the stupid people that deserve her wrath. If you like any of her past performances then this DVD will make you very happy.
(Krypt0nian, 2009-11-15) Fantastic. She is clever, subtle, then in your face funny. Fantastic DVD as always.
